Samsung Worktops

The name Radianz is synonymous with quality and extends to every product they manufacture. No less so than in their Radianz range of top-class quartz worktops.
Quartz is a natural stone material and is extremely hard. On the Mohs scale of hardness, diamond is of course at the top and rated ten. Quartz is rated at seven – only just behind sapphire and topaz. It is an extremely common stone and does not require deep mining. When used for worktops it is combined with polyester resins and pigments which produces an extremely hard and durable end product.
Samsung Radianz Quartz technology is different from most of the other quartz products on the market such as Caesarstone and Silestone in that it is not made using the Breton process which most of the others adopt. Samsung has their own production facility in Korea where Radianz has been undergoing continuous testing to ensure that it is worthy of the Samsung name.
Samsung products have always been beautiful to look at and truly functional and their Radianz quartz worktops continue the tradition. Radianz technology fuses 93% quartz with polymers and pigments which give depth and texture to the finished product going beyond the aesthetic. More than twenty-five colours in the range ensure that there is something to suit every kitchen and the beauty of the Samsung quartz is that the colour is consistent and uniform throughout the whole worktop, whereas with marble and granite it can vary. Every square inch of a Radianz worktop will match.
Why Samsung Quartz?
Samsung worktops are extremely impact resistant so that if a pot or pan should slip from your hand (or if you simply have a clumsy spouse) it will just bounce off the surface causing no damage.
Radianz is resistant to heat damage as well. Exposure to high ambient temperatures during cooking will not harm it. However, as with all kitchen surfaces, it is never a good idea to put a hot pan straight from the cooker or oven directly on the surface. Always use a heat pad or trivet.
Because a Samsung worktop is so dense and non-porous it is also easy to clean and hygienic. Microbes, bacteria, viruses and moulds are unable to grow on it. Cleaning really involves no more than a wipe over with a damp cloth and perhaps a little washing up liquid. Then wipe clean with warm water and dry with a kitchen towel.
Samsung Radianz quartz worktops are virtually stain proof. Spills such as vinegar, lemon juice, butter, olive oil, coffee, red wine and so on which can prove nearly fatal to other materials will just sit there until they are wiped clean. This is particularly important in the hob area where hot oils or fats may spit on to the surface without being noticed.
Samsung Radianz quartz worktops can be produced with a wide variety of edge treatments. Bullnose, stair tread, ogee and waterfall edges are just some of the many treatments that Samsung suggest and can make your new kitchen look very different from anyone else’s. Of course, you can always design your own since Radianz can be cut and polished in any way you wish.
Radianz quartz finishes are also permanent. There is absolutely no need for resealing as with many other surfaces.
